Carmen Vega

Carmen Vega was born in Havana and came to Miami as a child, growing up in a household where her mother worked as a caregiver and her father drove a delivery route. Watching her parents navigate a new country in a language that was not their own gave Carmen a deep patience for people who feel overwhelmed by systems they did not design. She brings that same patience to her clients, many of whom have never spoken to a lawyer before and are frightened about medical bills, missed work, and what comes next.

As a Senior Associate Attorney at Reyes Injury Law, Carmen focuses on slip-and-fall and premises liability cases, car accidents, and rideshare accident claims involving companies like Uber and Lyft. Premises cases in particular require careful, early work, and Carmen is known for moving quickly to preserve evidence, document hazards, and understand exactly how an injury happened. She stays in close contact with her clients, explains their options in English or Spanish, and takes the pressure of the insurance company off their shoulders. When clients need treatment, she helps them find providers so they are not left managing serious injuries alone.

Carmen studied psychology at the University of Florida, a background she says helps her listen to what clients are actually worried about, and then earned her law degree at Stetson University College of Law, long respected for its focus on advocacy. She is a member of The Florida Bar and has devoted her practice to representing injured individuals and families.

Away from work, Carmen mentors first-generation college students, volunteers with a local literacy program, and is an enthusiastic if impatient home cook. She tells clients that a good case is built on details and honesty, and that her job is to worry about the legal side so they can put their energy into healing.
